Volunteer - Madison School District

Volunteer with Madison

At Madison, we understand how important is it to provide meaningful opportunities for parent and community involvement. Volunteering at your child’s school, whether in the classroom or on a field trip, is a great way to stay connected to your child’s education. Madison also has opportunities for members of our community to get involved with their local schools as well.

A complete list of available volunteer opportunities for each school are available in the volunteer application. Please note that online volunteer registration for middle schools is scheduled for the 2017-2018 school year. For volunteer opportunities at the middle schools, please contact the school’s front office.

Parent/Guardian Classroom Volunteers

Starting with the 2016-2017 school year, parent/guardian volunteers (for grades pre-K through 4* and all grades at MTA) will be required to complete a volunteer application. Volunteer applications must be completed by November 1st.

*Online volunteer registration for middle schools is scheduled for 2017-2018 school year.

Non-Parents/Guardians and Overnight Volunteers

Throughout first semester of the 2016-2017 school year, non-parents and non-guardians will be required to obtain background and fingerprint clearance to volunteer. Anyone volunteering on an overnight field trip will also be required to obtain background and fingerprint clearance. Madison will cover all associated costs. Non-parent/guardian and overnight volunteers will also need to complete the volunteer application.

Safety of our students, staff, and volunteers is a matter we take seriously and we appreciate your cooperation as we ensure we are employing best practices for student safety at the Madison School District.
